Meta tag

Group of keywords relevant to your website or niche. For better indexing to search engine use wisely only those keywords which are exact match or near match to your website.  These keywords give a brief about your website posts and pages.

As per Google guidelines Meta Description must be 160 character.

 In the word press dash board, on the left side there is a menu

Meta description is important because when the visitor search on SERP he/she gets the detail information about your website or webpage through meta description shown in the search engine result page (SERP). 

Therefore it is very important to have a very clear simple and descriptive meta description.

 

Title tag

Title tag is 70 characters.

Title tag is displayed top of browser bar.  Its an html tag which is visible when visitors search using keywords display the result in serp.  The title tag is hyperlinked and clickable, once you click it will take you to the website.

 

H1 tag

This is the tag used to differentiate the heading from sub heading of a page.  H1 TAG is the most important tag as it introduces your website content of page. 

 

If you notice one thing, each website has its own way of presenting H1 tag some use long sentences, and some use short sentences, some use keywords with more relevance to content in the page.

 For e.g.

If you are making a website and writing content related to “beauty products”.  Then the H1 tag must mention beauty product, or beauty product using methods, beauty product brands, beauty products pros and cons. Etc.

 

Content

Well everyone know that content is the key in every field, whether it is a blog, advertisement, or an article , content is the king. 

 

There are H2 and H3 tag which are also relevant from seo point of view.

 

Long tail Keywords

 Keywords which are used with 3 or 4 phrases of keywords with relevant to page content are long tail keywords.

 For e.g. a visitor want to buy laptop bag, then he search  put his query in the SERP with the words “laptop bag”

Here the seller using long tail key words  like “ multipurpose laptop bag, daily use laptop bag, water repellent laptop bag, business trip laptop bag, etc.

 

These are the long tail keywords which is being used in the title of the page which are very relevant to the content of that page.

Main benefit of using long tail keyword it can be search more relevant to the visitors.
