so a canonical issue arises when 301 redirects are not done properly. i.e. the website can be accessed with different URLs by Search Engines.

The best way to resolve with 301 redirects. If you have a WordPress website you can use the redirect plugin.

Or

Visit your webmaster tools and create two profiles for one domain one with prefixing www. And another without the prefix.

“After this click, the configuration- setting- preferred domain” and select the domain you would like Google to use.

  1. What is Robot.txt file and what does?
